FOR SALE: 1953 Seagrave Model 900B, Serial No. G5835 Anniversary Series pumper. This pumper reportedly started out at the Texaco Oil refinery in Longbeach , CA. From there it went to the University of Nevada Reno Stead Dodd Beals Oil Fire School. When the Oil Fire School moved to Carlin, NV (ca. 1988) the pumper was sold to a private party. I got the pumper from the estate of the purchaser in 2006. I do not know what the previous owner’s plans for the rig were, but it was partially disassembled to prep for painting. I have not done anything with the rig in 17 years. I have come to the realization that I am not going to undertake the restoration of this rig. It looks to me like all the important parts are present and some have even been newly (1988) chrome plated. Has the original Seagrave 12 cylinder motor whose condition is unknown. Engine is located in Reno, NV. Comes with Nevada title. I will not part it out at this time. If I decide to part it out I will post it.
