Life goes on and we are sad to part with “Coop”, our ’47 all original friend that runs, goes, and stops. Myers Studebaker in Duncan Falls OH brought all of the mechanicals up to date and we made her look pretty. She even got a set of all new tires this Fall, which fixed what I thought was a problem with some rear springs. We have never tried to pump anything, so I don’t know if it works or needs some TLC. We re-finished the back bed and put a coat of pretty good paint on it after blasting all the real iron. After the Myers went through it, we drove it the 67 miles on US 40 back home, probably more miles than it had seen in 50 years. She was a factory truck and never had a tank, so the frame is straight and solid. We have all of the accessories she was built with except the ladder. I have a ton of pictures.
