On October 22, 1924 Burlington Fire Department took delivery of an American LaFrance, Type 75 triple-combination pumper, The engine (Reg # 4875) was purchased at a cost of $8,000 dollars. Nicknamed “Maude” and serving the city proudly for many years as “Engine 2” this engine is now housed in Burlington's Fire Station No. 5.
