On the forward section of the floorboard of our 1939 Ward Lafrance, there was a small stainless steel plate approx. 1″ wide by 12″ long. It was located just forward of the transfer lever. It is stamped with 4 pairs of letters (indicating the 4 positions of the transfer lever). Ours was lost during the restoration. If anyone has this I.D. plate on their Ward, I would appreciate a picture, dimensions, what the 4 sets of letters are, and their actual location on the plate.
