This museum quality restoration of a 1931 Buffalo served at Liberty Hose Company, Reading, PA. The cream white over red Buffalo pumper is unique in that it has a 1,000 GPM pumper in an era when 500 GPM pumpers were the norm. This truck is believed to be one of only three 1931 custom 1,000 GPM Buffalo pumpers remaining. Another unique feature of the truck is the bronze statue of Lady Liberty mounted atop the bell. The motor is a Waukesha 6RB, 677 Cu. In. which has been rebuilt.
This truck underwent a three year full frame-up restoration in 2012 where every part on the truck was disassembled, renovated, and repainted. This truck has been restored to be exactly as it was originally delivered including gold leaf. Even the windshield has been removed because it was not delivered with a windshield – it was added later.
